Follow-Up Is Where Most Local Revenue Hides

The average local service business has more revenue sitting in unclosed estimates than in next month's new leads.

The folder nobody works

Nearly every local service business has a collection of sent estimates that never received a decision. Most receive one follow-up call and then nothing.

Those prospects already know your company, already had you in their home, and already saw your price. They are dramatically cheaper to convert than a stranger.

Silence usually is not rejection

Homeowners go quiet because life intervened, because they are waiting on a spouse, a paycheck, an insurance decision, or a second quote. Very few actively decided against you and then said nothing.

A structured sequence spaced over weeks gives those reasons time to resolve while keeping your business present.

Build the sequence once

Define what happens on day 1, day 3, day 7, day 14, and day 30 after an estimate goes out, and let the system carry it. Include a genuine reason for each touch rather than repeating the same check-in.

This is unglamorous work, and it is usually the single highest-return change available to a local service business.
